BreeFM is Streaming Again

I got hit with a bit of nostalgia by a question in the LG+15 and Everything In Between Group on Facebook about the music from LonelyGirl15. A user asked what songs from LG15 do people still listen to. It brought back good memories of when I started this little community radio station based around the fandom of LonelyGirl15. 

I'm currently putting a Spotify playlist together, and that can take awhile. Although I have my best intern working on it, it's difficult. Some of the artists either aren't on Spotify or the bands have broken up. Songs lost to time and not on Spotify.

What you are hearing if you click that Play button at the header of this page is songs I was able to acquire in 2007 from LonelyGirl15 which started with Season 1 and grew into Season 2 music as well. This served as BreeFM's automation playlist when DJs weren't on air.

I'm not sure how long I'm going to keep it going, I'll know when I see the bill of streaming charges, but until then, enjoy it, and enjoy the memories of what made BreeFM the Station of the Breeniverse.

We had a great run here in the LG15 community for 2 1/2 years.

BreeFM's Last Dance brought back lots of familiar faces and a good time was had by all. I would like to thank everyone who stopped by for our last hoorah, the DJs who have made the event a fun one for all and to the chatters and listeners for sharing in the experience.

Also I would like to thank DJs and chatters past and present who made BreeFM a memorable place in LG15 history since 2007. Without you BreeFM would never have gotten off the ground and you have made this experience one I will always treasure.

BreeFM signed off for the final time at 2:48am Pacific time.

The last song played was the first one played when BreeFM signed on the netwaves back in 2007.

BreeFM's Last Dance

All good things must come to and end. BreeFM, the station of the Breeniverse is going out with a bang (or atleast a slight tapping) at BreeFM’s Last Dance, Saturday March 20th in #BreeFM. So come on by and DJ, play, dance, chat, drink and say goodbye to the station of the Breeniverse.

We had a good run here at BreeFM and through the years we were fortunate enough to have amazing community members come to the helm to DJ or chat, and share many a puzzle-solving, links, jokes and even a bit of life as well as having to tolerate its lovable dictator, MicFranXon (Oh hai! *waves*).

Times have changed in our community.

Our beloved web series is no more and now fans run the show (is yours). Jonas is probably skin and bones strung to a ceiling somewhere (although he was let down to comment on Harper’s Globe). Two watchers had (an adorable) baby. The Creators have a software company. Madison died and came back like it never happened. Even Tibetan Monks have been rick-rolled. By now there isn’t anything ‘she’ hasn’t said. Many of us have gone on to college / found new careers / got married / or have other things to do with our time.

The fabric of the community has changed and with so many other things to do, an internet radio station for the community of a web series that no longer exists, no longer fits into that fabric despite our constant attempts to weave a Snuggie into it in the darkest hours of the night (we would’ve had it too if it wasn’t for that mid 40’s white guy who keeps ‘raising the roof’ in the commercials). Sorry to say BreeFM has become a pre-SlapChop tuna.

On Saturday March 20th we would like DJs and chatters past and present to come on by the ole’ station for one last hoorah. Kind of like our IRC Proms, although spiking the punch is mandatory now. DJs interested in doing a slot please contact me at: breefm@gmail.com

WOW where has the time gone?

Alright guys I know it's been a hot minute since you've heard me on breefm but I have outstanding news! I will be back August 3rd at 6pm Pacific time 9pm eastern time! I will be here with all kinds of crazy news awesomeness to rawk your socks so please come check it out! I will hopefully be able to return to a normal schedule slot soon! HUMANWINE on BreeFM

After amazing sleuthing done by some even more amazing people I am pleased to announce that HUMANWINE will be playing live on BreeFM tonight 6/21/09 on my show that begins around 3pm PST. They will also be playing sometime around 8pm PST on WBCN "Boston Emissions" Also they will be playing a show 6/27/09 at The Paradise Rock Club in Boston. The fun isn't over yet there is more to find. Thanks to all who have been a part of this so far.

Breefm: Holiday Liners!

The Holidays are Yours!

At BreeFM we will begin our holiday playlist on December 21st.

We would love for community members to make sweepers for the holidays.

Example of a sweeper:
"Hi I'm (your nick here), wishing you and yours a (your word here) and (your word here) Holiday season! Happy Holidays from BreeFM"

OR Make something up of your own, and close it off with "Happy Holidays from BreeFM."

Simply record yourself saying your sweeper.
The format must be audio: .mp3, .wav, etc.

Into The Time Slip.........

Alright guys I know everyone has been awaiting my return. Here's the deal I can no longer dj on monday nights due to other obligations and sleep deprivation. Our wonderful station manager has allowed me to take over Jenni's old spot on Sundays! So I will now be coming at you on Sunday's at 3pm pacific or 6pm eastern time. Tune in and join the fun! I will be doing my first sunday show on December 14th (that's right tomorrow) I hope to see you all there

A brief hiatus.

Unfortunately, due to a high volume of visitors to my area, I am so bogged down with work that I am unable to DJ at BreeFM for several weeks.

I thought perhaps someone else might like to take my time slot on Sundays. It doesn't seem fair to hold onto it when some other DJ might like to have it.

I'll be returning eventually, but will happily take another spot if the original one isn't open.

As always, I'd like to thank MicFranXon for the fine opportunity he provides to the community by hosting the station for us. When I think back to his helpful and kind treatment of various producers that stopped in during my program, I have to wipe away a tear.

Just like to say, on behalf of Canada, that we're proud of you guys down south.  (And a few icecubes up north in Alaska - those votes counted too.) Also, I've been thinking about doing a show again. Also also, someone tell Adam Lamar to quit messaging me with requests to set him up with nicecast - I've already told him to just give me a time and day and I'll take him through it. I mean come on. Srsly. Also also also...uh...your mom. That's what she said.
